Terms of Use

Explains how to use the production service, user responsibilities, intellectual property and service limits.

v1.2 · 2026-08-30

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By accessing or using Orylin, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy. Do not use the service if you cannot agree, lack authority to agree, or local law prohibits use.

Orylin is not an emergency, medical, financial, legal, life-safety or guaranteed-delivery service.

2. Service scope

The service provides temporary invitations, three-word matching, short-lived rendezvous, real WebRTC setup, Directness validation, a voluntary bounded single-hop peer relay, messaging, chunked file transfer and Direct voice. Voice pauses on a relay path, and a feature may be unavailable when the browser lacks a required capability.

Orylin may modify, suspend or end the service for security, maintenance, capacity or legal reasons. Invitations expire and network conditions may prevent a connection.

3. User responsibilities

Protect the invitation and share it only with the intended peer. Anyone who obtains the complete invitation may try to join while it remains valid. Never submit secrets, session keys, SDP or ICE, or sensitive diagnostics to a public issue.

You must follow applicable law, respect others' rights and have a lawful basis for anything you send or attempt to send through Orylin.

4. Service disclaimer

The service is provided 'as is' and 'as available'. Software and network services may experience defects, interruption, data loss, compatibility problems or security risk. Except where liability cannot legally be excluded, Orylin does not promise continuous availability, error-free operation, fitness for a purpose, security certification or connectivity on every network.

Orylin does not hide the fact that communication occurred, and a peer may receive the network information needed for WebRTC. The current service does not include post-quantum end-to-end encryption.

5. Intellectual property and brand

The Orylin name, Orylin™ wordmark and original graphic mark are project brand assets. They may not be used to confuse source, imply endorsement or reproduce the brand identity without permission.

Source code and brand assets not accompanied by an express license remain all-rights-reserved. Public visibility does not grant rights to copy, modify, distribute or commercialize them. Users retain rights in their content and must not submit infringing material.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, project contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss. Non-excludable statutory liability remains governed by applicable law.
